Lead role for short film!

We're casting a 10-minute psychological horror short film exploring themes of fate, paranoia, and perception.

Logline: A man realizes the sounds from the room above predict his every move. After hearing a violent struggle upstairs, he races to outrun a fate that’s always one step ahead...

Breakdown:

The film is driven almost entirely by the lead character's psychological experience as he becomes consumed by the mysterious sounds coming from above.

This is a non-speaking role, with the performance relying on physicality and emotional range. Most of the soundscape will be created in post-production, so performances on set will rely on verbal cues rather than finished sound effects. We're looking for someone with a strong imagination who can respond convincingly to events that aren't physically present, delivering an expressive, emotionally grounded physical performance.

The short film will be produced by an independent production team and is intended for the international film festivals.

Role: Lead
A solitary man whose grip on reality fractures as unnerving events challenge his sense of agency.

• Age: 25–55 (playing age)
• Open to male and non-binary performers
• Physical expressiveness
• Comfortable performing dramatic scenes with no dialogue
• Previous on-camera experience preferred but not required

Requirements:

• Based in Sweden, Norway, or Denmark and/or able to travel to Klädesholmen
• English proficiency is a bonus, as the crew primarily communicates in English

Production Details:

• Rate: 20,000 SEK invoice
• Shooting in November (exact dates TB; likely 2-3 days during the Week 46)
• Transportation reimbursed
• Meals provided throughout the shoot
• Location: Klädesholmen, Sweden
